Allie was diagnosed with NF when she was one. She had never met another person with NF until she was 14 years old when she reached out to an executive at Children’s Tumor Foundation on Facebook. Connie Sorman put Allie in contact with an NF clinic in New York so she could learn more about her condition and treat it properly. Shortly after seeing a dedicated neurologist, Allie had brain surgery to remove a tumor in her cerebellum that had been causing extreme headaches and balance issues all her life.
Allie was thrilled to travel to Florida and spend time on Clearwater Beach. She was able to go dolphin watching, something she had always wanted to do, and visit Disney World for the first time to meet her favorite Disney princess, Belle.
